Our top 10 cabling standards
All Cables will be in accordance with TIA/EIA-586B.
Each cable will be labeled in four places with a printed label; on the faceplate, behind the faceplate, on the patch panel, and behind the patch panel.
All cables will be supported every 3-5' with the appropriate self supported cable management. (Cable tray/J-hook)
All cables will be supported to their appropriate standard with a Fluke DTX-1800 tester.
Upon project completion an As-Built Drawing and Certified Test Results will be provided.
No splice will ever be used to extend cable length.
Plenum cable will be used in plenum air spaces.
Velcro will be used in place of zip ties.
A service loop will be installed at the user end.
All fire walls that are penetrated will be fire stopped with the proper fire stop solution.
